EPD referred a complaint from Lot no. 116 of Fui Sha Wai at
Tai Hang of Tai Po which is concerned about the construction noise and
diesel-like smell generated from construction activities nearby which caused
nuisance and health problems on 19 December 2013 morning.

EPD referred an air-and-odour complaint on 24 February
2014. The complainant complained about the construction site located near the
bus stop in Fui Sha Wai, Tai Hang, Tai Wo Service Road West. When
construction works were carried out, odour, white smoke and dust were
generated. The complainant asked for follow-up actions.

|
EPD referred an air complaint on 24 October
2014. A resident complained against the excavation
works of Tai Wo Service Road West between Nam Wah Po & Tai Hang Tsuen,
which have piled up high stockpiles, causing serious dust nuisance to his
house. The resident also complained that the stockpiles
have not been covered and watered properly. He now requires the EPD to follow
up. The location of complaint is near Lamppost

EPD referred a water complaint on 31 December
2014. The complainant complained about the muddy
river outside Tai Hang Village Office on 29 December 2014. It was suspected
that the muddy water was discharged from the construction works of the
Project. He required the EPD to follow up. |

EPD referred a water complaint on 25 March
2015. The complainant complained about the
generation of the smell of gasoline from the Widening of Fanling Highway
construction site on Tai Wo Service Road West, causing serious nuisance to
nearby houses. The situation has continued for a few weeks
and she asked the EPD to follow up as soon as possible. |

A complaint was received by the 1823 enquiry
and complaint hotline on 5 January 2017. The complaint was referred to the
Environmental Team by the Contractor on 13 January 2017. The complainant complained against the dust
emission generated by the Widening of Fanling Highway construction site on
Tai Wo Service Road West near Tai Hang Village. The complainant also complained that Highway
Department did not conduct road surface cleansing, which affects residents’
health. He/she now requires the Highway Department to follow up. |
